What you need to know before registering for any Backflow Training Course !

1. The Backflow Certification Course involves learning a significant volume of backflow theory and hands-on troubleshooting skills.

2. Requirement: All participants without 5 years of technical background in plumbing or a related field shall contact us at 878-222-5356 prior to registration. Students will need approval from our administrator to attend any backflow certification course. Ohio Certification requires approval from The Ohio DOC Backflow Board. (See our "Information" page for all Ohio and ASSE Requirements)

3. Required Preparation: Students must obtain training materials well in advance of the course and begin answering the course study guide questions before attending class.

4. Registration Note (For the Payer): If registering someone else, please ensure the attendee receives their training materials promptly and is aware of the requirement to begin studying the course guide questions immediately.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

By submitting this form, you authorize Winstel Controls / Backflow 911 to charge your credit card for the total cost of services. You acknowledge that providing false payment information may result in legal action.

  • Attendance & Refunds: Attendance is required. There is NO REFUND or CREDIT for any student that fails to attend the course, fails to attend the minimum state-required hours or fails to pass the written or practical examinations.
  • Cancellation: Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 10 business days prior to the class start date. Cancellations made within 9 business days of the class are non-refundable, and you remain responsible for the full balance.
  • Rescheduling: Winstel Controls / Backflow 911 reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any class at its discretion.
  • Payment must be received 7 days before the class begins; otherwise, the student's seat will be forfeited.

Our Goal: Quality & Consistency To provide a high-quality, cost-effective learning environment, our backflow training courses rely on a precise student-to-instructor ratio. Because these sessions require extensive logistics and equipment setup, we must ensure each class meets its minimum attendance goal to proceed.

1. The Importance of Your Seat

When you register for a small-capacity course, your presence is the "anchor" for the session. Your enrollment is what allows the class to move forward for everyone; therefore, we require a firm commitment to attend.

2. Standard Cancellation Window

If you need to modify your registration, the following terms apply:

  • 10+ Business Days’ Notice: Full refund issued.
  • Within 9 Business Days: Full tuition is charged.

Note: Winstel Controls / Backflow 911 reserves the right to reschedule any class if minimum enrollment is not maintained.

3. "Guaranteed to Hold" Policy

Once a course meets its minimum requirement and you receive a Small Class Notification, your seat becomes critical. Because a single withdrawal would force us to reschedule the training for the entire group, the following rules apply once you confirm your attendance:

  • Non-Refundable: Registration fees become non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • The "No-Drop" Rule: To protect the schedules of your fellow students, we cannot offer credits or rescheduling once you have agreed to attend.

4. Attendance Commitment

We understand that "life happens," but once you confirm your attendance following a small-course notification, failure to attend or attempting to cancel will result in the loss of payment. This policy ensures we can honor our promised schedule for the other professionals who have paid and cleared their calendars to attend.

Please Read Before Registering for Training Courses

1) We strongly recommend students without a technical background in plumbing or other related fields to contact Winstel Controls / Backflow 911 before registering for the backflow certification course.
2) We encourage students to obtain their training materials prior to attending the backflow tester certification course.
3) If you are registering for someone else, please inform the person your register that training materials are available before class begins if payment has been received.
